Dr. Mathew Palakal, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, USA. He has completed his Ph.D., Computer Science, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. His research work mainly concentrates on extracting knowledge from published literature documents in the areas of Health and Life Sciences. His research group has developed a biomedical literature text mining system called BioMAP. This system is now used for protein-protein interaction related studies. After his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1994, Prof. Umesh Bellur went to work in the industry where he has helped establish distributed object standards such as CORBA with OMG and J2EE with JCP. He worked for over 10 years at Oracle Corporation, Teknekron Communication Systems and Covad communications after which he helped found a startup in Silicon Valley named Collation Inc. in 2001 that was subsequently acquired by the IBM Tivoli group in 2005. He moved back to India and joined IIT Bombay as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering where he is currently. He is the recipient of the 2006 IBM Faculty Award in Autonomic Computing and the SAP Research and Innovation Award for QoS based overlay routing in 2008. His areas of research include: adaptability in service oriented environments and autonomic computing techniques for distributed component based applications, virtualization related issues in Cloud computing and Distributed Event Based Systems.

Dr Ullas is the Lead Scientist at the Center for Transformational Innovations (CeTI) at EMC India COE. CeTI is led by the CTO, EMC India COE. He co-lead a team developing solutions for effective delivery of healthcare and education to masses in emerging regions. I also manage the University Research portfolio with a focus on top-tier institutions in APJ region. He is interested in tackling Data Management & Analytics challenges brought out by the emergence of Social Media, Cyber Physical Systems and Internet of Things. He has authored 60+ papers in top conferences & journals, have several patents granted by USPTO and organized 9 international workshops alongside top AI & DB conferences. His research & development experience includes stints as a Research Scientist at IBM Research - India (2006-2012), Post-Doctoral Research Scholar at UC Davis (2005-06) and Software Analyst at L&T InfoTech (1997-99). Dr Rajat Subhra Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department of IIT Kharagpur since 2010. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (USA) and a B.E. (Hons.) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University (India) in 2005. His professional experience includes a stint as CAD Software Engineer at National Semiconductor, and a graduate internship at AMD Headquarters at Santa Clara (California). His research interests include Hardware Security; including design methodology for hardware IP/IC protection; Hardware Trojan detection and prevention through design and testing, attacks on hardware implementation of cryptographic algorithms, and reversible watermarking for digital content protection. He has over 45 publications in international journals and conferences of repute. He has delivered keynote talks and tutorials at several international conferences and workshops, and has rendered his service as a reviewer and program committee member for multiple international conferences and journals. He is the co-author of three book chapters and two forthcoming books: Hardware Security (CRC Press, USA), and Reversible Watermarking (Morgan Claypool, USA). He is one of the recipients of the "IBM Faculty Award" for 2012. He holds 1 US patent, and 2 more international patents and 2 Indian patent have been filed based on his research work. Dr. Chakraborty is a member of IEEE and ACM.
He is currently the Chief Technologist for Ahilya Technologies, Los Angeles. He manages research teams in US, Italy and India. He received his BSEE from University of Mississippi with specialization in RF and wireless, Masters of Engineering from University of Illinois-Chicago. He also has several certificates in communications and signal processing from UCLA, UC Berkeley , UC San Diego and in project leadership and decision making from Stanford and Cornell University. He is a visiting faculty for University of Mumbai for management, IT and engineering programs. He currently manages several projects around the world and is responsible for technology related strategic decision of the organization. His research interests include MIMO, Cooperative Communications and Networking, software defined radio/Networking, OFDMA and LTE-A, 4G/5G technologies including game theory and its application for terrestrial wireless and satellite clusters. Since 2009 he has been the chair of Publications for IEEE Aerospace Conference. He has organized several panels and hosted forums on various technical subjects. He is Program Chair for the IEEE International Conference on Wireless in Space and Extreme Environments. He holds several key positions on IEEE societies and was If&E co-chair for "3G/4G/5G cellular and Satellite Networking" at GLOBECOM 2012.
